HUNTING
People
from all over the United States come to Oxford
to enjoy the excellent hunting. Groups of hunters
return on a yearly basis to hunt deer, pheasant,
turkey, quail, ducks,
geese, dove, rabbit, coyote and more.

CAMPING AND
FISHING
The Fishing Pond at George
Mithcell Park just south of Oxford is stocked
with Crappie, Bass and Catfish. Good fishing
can also be found in the Republican River
which flows past Oxford. Two large lakes
can be found within 50 miles of Oxford.

George Mitchell Park is on 37.7
acres and provides RV Parking and 10 sites
with water and electric hook-ups. More

WILDLIFE
There is a large variety of fur
bearing animals in South Central and Southwestern
Nebraska which includes fox, beaver, raccoon,
badger, coyote, deer, rabbit, mink, bobcat,
otter, muskrat and prairie dogs.
