Oxford
Elementary School
Students
grades K - 6 are now attending a new
consolidated school at the site of Southern
Valley High School, 8 miles south of Oxford,
NE. Construction of the school was completed in time for the 2008-2009 school year. Elementary students from the towns of Oxford,
Orleans and Beaver City all begin attending the
new school in the Fall of 2008.

Southern
Valley Junior/Senior High School
The communities of Beaver City, Edison, Hendley,
Hollinger, Orleans, Oxford, and Stamford joined
together in 1993 to form a Junior-Senior High
School - the Southern Valley School District.
The school is located 8 miles directly south
of Oxford on Highway 46, and between Beaver
City and Orleans on Highway 89.
The modern facility is staffed by 50 certified
instructors and provides high-speed Internet
access district-wide with 100 computers accessible
to the students. The school consistes of 255
students resulting in a student-teacher ratio
of 5 to 1. Along with high tech education,
Southern Vally offers advanced placement classes
and programs for the gifted.

of higher learning nearby. In addition many
of the institutions offer Satellite courses
via the Internet.
